Dimecon series devices enable Ethernet-based communication and control of equipment installed in explosion hazard zones. The Dimecon ETH separator enables the connection of a 10/100Base-TX wired network to an intrinsically safe 100Base-TX wired network routed through hazardous areas where there is a risk of explosion caused by combustible dust or flammable gases. Standard 8P8C (RJ45) ports are used for network connectivity.
The Dimecon ETH separator has been designed and manufactured to meet the growing requirements for connection reliability and data transmission rate, including for use in explosion hazard zones.

PRODUCT FEATURES:
– 8P8C (RJ-45) input port;
– intrinsically safe (Ex i) 8P8C (RJ-45) output port;
– data transmission rate of up to 100 Mbit/s;
– compact size;
– 35 mm DIN rail mounting;
– installation outside explosion hazard zones or in Ex d flameproof or Ex t protective enclosure;
– automatic detection of straight-through or crossover connection (MDI/MDI-X) for both ports;
– LED indicator for settings and operating parameters;
– diagnostics and parameter reading via the Ethernet interface.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
– connection of intrinsically safe Ethernet (Ex i) networks to external networks;
– long-distance data transmission requiring high-speed and reliable connectivity to and from explosion hazard zones.
